8.5 km above 2,000 m. 3.4 km of tarmac / 13,3 km of track / 25,4 km of footpath. Las Tucas Marathon links both Estós and Ángel Orús huts, through dirt roads and footpaths that go around the well-known Tucas (i.e. mountains) de Ixeia (2,840 m), right in the heart of the Pyrenees.
The course will start and finish in the town of Benasque. It ascends the GR11 path that leads to the Estós hut. It continues along the amazing glacier lakes of Batisielles and crosses the pass of Collado de la Plana (2,708 m). Once you get to checkpoint in the Ángel Orús hut, the course descends through Eriste Valley (Bal de Grist), passing along the Espigantosa waterfall. It passes the towns of Eriste, Anciles and Cerler before ending in Benasque. Runners who complete the 2019 edition of the Tucas Marathon will get 2 ITRA points.
