27.5 km above 2,000 m. 6.1 km of tarmac / 8.8 km of track / 24.2 km of footpath / 15.9 km off path. Aneto Tour goes through varied terrain, from dirt roads and narrow paths, to snowfields and rock and boulder scrambling around Maladeta massif, crowned by its highest peak, Aneto (3,404 m).
The course will start and finish in the town of Benasque and heads towards La Renclusa hut. It continues towards the impressive Forau d’Aigualluts waterfall, going along Barrancs Valley. Runners will cross a few hills at very high altitude (e.g. Salenques, at 2,797 m). As you approach back to Benasque through Vallibierna Valley and Sierra Negra mountains, you will pass a great deal of glacier lakes and other Pyrenean typical landscapes with a very alpine feel. Runners who complete the 2019 edition of the Vuelta al Aneto will get 3 ITRA points.
